Gameboysoundsoftware

Nanoloop is a software synthesizer and sequencer for the Nintendo Game Boy developed by Oliver Wittchow for a students project at Hamburg's art school HfbK. It was written for the Game Boy because of the wide availability of this small hand-held device (over 100 million sold) and the special quality of the integrated sound chip. The graphic interface has been optimised for (new) demands of modern electronic composition in contrast to the sometimes old fashioned design of current music software. The Nintendo company does not support the misusage of their device but it is rumoured that they're working on their own music software for the new Game Boy Advance. Wittchow won't care - he already took a step further and is currently programming a groundbreaking new music app for Japanese iMode mobile phones.
